All About Music Lessons

Weekly Lessons At The Studio

  • Home based studio located in Newmarket, ON.

  • 30 or 45 minute lessons, once per week.

  • Books and supplemental materials INCLUDED in tuition & materials fee.

  • Games and activities at each lesson!

Practice At Home

  • Practice makes progress!

  • Home practice is required and expected of each student.

  • Students must have a good quality instrument at home to practice on.

  • Weekly assignments written in your music binder to make practice easier.

Parent’s Guide to a Great Music Experience

  • Be your child’s biggest cheerleader, not a second teacher! Enthusiastic parental support goes a long way.

  • Younger children may need help reading assignments or navigating technology, but you don’t need to know anything about music to be able to help.

  • Keep practice time positive.

  • There is no need for strict practice time requirements. Some practice sessions will be longer than others depending on your child’s focus level for the day.

  • Ensure your child’s instrument is in good working order. Tune your piano, and make sure your flute receives regular maintenance from a reliable technician.

Studio Policies

  • Parents and students are responsible for adhering to the studio policies.

  • These policies keep the studio running smoothly and effectively.

  • These policies outline what the expectations are for things like illness, missed lessons, lateness, etc.

  • Please note: the illness policy is strictly adhered to.

Tuition Fees

  • Tuition fees run on a “punch card” system, paid in advance in 4 lesson increments.

  • $120 for 4 prepaid lessons.

  • A one time $50 Materials Fee per student is due upon registration.

  • Tuition + Materials Fees cover the cost of lesson books, supplemental materials, and year end recital. (Exam books and fees not included).

  • Students are expected to come to lessons on a weekly basis in order to keep their place in the schedule.
